ALOO POHA

ALOO  POHA RECIPE


                

Ingredients:

2 cups Poha (Beaten Rice)                                             
1 Potatoes
1 Onion                                                                        
2 Green Chillies
1 tsp Chana dal                                                         
1 tsp Urad dal
1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds                                                
1 sprig Curry leaves
2 tsp Peanuts                                                            
4 tblsp Oil
1 pinch Turmeric powder                                             
1 Lemon
Few Corainder leaves                                                  
Salt to taste
A pinch of sugar                                                         
1tbsp coriander powder
½ tbsp Red chilli powder                                                
1 Bay leaf
3 to 4 tbsp fried channa dal powder

 Aloo poha  preparation:
Ø       Soak the poha in water. Wash and drain all the water.


Ø       Add some salt,fried channa dal powderand keep it aside.
Ø       Peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes, chop the onions, chillies, corainder leaves.
Ø       Heat oil and put chana dal, urad dal, mustard seeds, peanuts,bay leaf, curry leaves and fry until they crackle.
Ø       Add potatoes , saute for few minutes, then add chopped onions, chillies.
Ø       Cook till they are done.
Ø       Add turmeric powder,coriander  powder,red chilli powder and sauté for 2 minutes.

Ø       Add the poha, corainder leaves and pinch of sugar and stir.
Ø       Keep it on slow flame for 5- 7 minutes.


Ø       Let it cool for sometime and add then lemon juice.

Note:
fried channa dal powder: take some fried channa dal and grind it with some salt.
